Homeowners in NW Portland had a challenge with existing concrete steps that a previous owner covered in plywood and cedar years ago.
After removing the wood, globs of glue and pieces of wood were stuck to the old stamped concrete.
Our clients called out 6 other contractors who wanted to remove the old steps and completely re-build. This was not only extremely expensive, but not exactly feasible as the steps were built into a neighbors’ boulder retaining wall.
Jim’s idea to clean up the concrete and adhere flagstone cut to fit with mortared gaps, gave the area an elegant upgrade. The timeless look of the hand-selected flagstone and the professional installation keeping an even consistency of the stone sections and spacing in be-tween, will last a lifetime.
