West Linn, Oregon – Above and Beyond Customer Service

When Rick recently relocated to West Linn, he thought of us to design and landscape a large area, that was a clean slate for Jim to create gravel sidewalks, log and gravel steps, and a large crushed granite seating area, with a fire pit. Decorative boulders, and a selection of deer resistant trees and shrubs were installed to add interest.
NW Portland, OR – Challenge of Existing Concrete Steps Covered in Plywood and Cedar

After removing the wood, globs of glue and pieces of wood were stuck to the old stamped concrete.
Our clients called out 6 other contractors who wanted to remove the old steps and completely re-build. This was not only extremely expensive, but not exactly feasible as the steps were built into a neighbors’ boulder retaining wall.
Tigard, Oregon – Solving the Dilemma of a Shady Backyard and Broken Fountain

We first recommended artificial turf, but that was outside the clients’ budget. Another idea came about to solve both issues with combing the fountain with a rock garden in the area where the lawn used to be.

Hillsboro – Backyard grass restoration and pet friendly turf

Homeowner in Hillsboro, OR had a tiny townhome back yard and 3 dogs. Her concern was the mud/dirt brought in by a shady yard where natural grass would not grow. Our suggestions were to create a dry creek bed along the fence filing in gaps where the smaller dog can get through, using colorful river rock, and artificial turf designed for pets, in the areas where the grass struggled.

Steven and Cindy B. of Hillsboro: Paver Patio

Steven and Cindy B. of Hillsboro, OR contacted us in early Spring. They were mainly interested in a new back lawn area to include proper drainage and grading. After viewing our photos of water features and patios they were very interested in those projects as well. They were first leaning towards stamped concrete for their patio. Even had a contractor lined up to do the work. After consulting with us about the advantages of pavers over concrete and viewing paver patios we had installed, they made a decision to go with pavers. Not only were they impressed with the attractive look of pavers but liked the fact that they are more durable and long-lasting than concrete, which will crack over time.
Jon and Lori of Lake Oswego: Completed Water Feature

John and Lori’s project involved going over the top of an existing 2 tiered boulder wall. We re-positioned some of the boulders and added more to create a large waterfall over the top of the upper wall, cascading into a small pool, then splitting into 3 water ways. Multiple falls continue down into a pond below.
